Libraries are no longer simply a location to collect and organize print resources. They have become an integral part of a school’s learning culture. The new library model provides a place for students to collaborate, enjoy fellowship, engage in interactive learning, create and challenge ideas, and experience learning and discovery in a multitude of ways. Today’s libraries serve  four key functions , in addition to their traditional role of housing printed materials. First, they are a locus for  collaboration . As pedagogy shifts and learning becomes more team oriented and less individualistic, there is a new demand for collaboration space for students. Having a place to come together is critical to student success and the full utilization of the library as a learning space. Our 2 platforms we are beginning with are known as 'intuitive software'. (programs with minimal coding needed and are user friendly.) Design Studies Project 1: Liven up the hallway...with purpose! Canva is graphic design, our first assignment involves saving the world through  INFOGRAPHICS Your task: Using Canva or any other software you are learning/would like to learn, crate an infographic on a GLOBAL GOAL (linked here) of your choice  These will be printed off and displayed in the hallway. Success criteria covered during class time.

 For our design of an INFOGRAPHIC please review the tutorial video before the next post titled 'Inforgraphic Task' so we know what the heck we are doing prior to beginning our hard work. We will be using the CANVA platform to design our infographics for this task.
